FAQs

For schools:

  • We offer a flexible pricing structure where you can either ‘Pay per Recruitment Round’ or experience unlimited use of the Teacherfolio platform with an annual subscription. Our annual subscription prices are based on levels of service and school size. We offer discounts for networks of schools and MATs. Please contact support@teacherfolio for a bespoke quote.
  • Simply head to our website, select the package that you’re interested in and click ‘Order now’. You will be asked to create an account by choosing a username and password. You will then be ready to set up your first recruitment round and start collecting digital content from your candidates.
  • Under no circumstances will schools from outside of your network be able to view your candidates’ Teacherfolios. If other schools within your network/ MAT also subscribe to Teacherfolio, then, with the permission of the candidate, Teacherfolios can be shared with these schools within your network/ MAT. There is also the option to invite candidates to join a talent pool which can be accessed by all subscribing schools within the network/ MAT.
  • From your dashboard, select ‘My account’ in the top right corner of the screen. Select ‘Add staff’, type their email address(es) in the box provided and click ‘Submit’. They will receive an invitation to create a Teacherfolio account and will have access to the dashboard to review your candidates.
  • Teacherfolio does not offer a jobs board. We encourage schools to advertise their vacancies in their usual way, but we can recommend one of our partners if you are looking to improve your candidate insight. Please get in touch via support@teacherfolio.com if you would like further advice on this.
  • Absolutely! Teacherfolio can fit into your recruitment process wherever you see fit. If you’re looking to collect digital content from all of your applicants, it’s as simple as adding a link to your job advert. If you’re looking to collect digital content from a longlist of candidates, it’s as simple as selecting your content and inputting your candidates’ email addresses. Got your own application form template? No problem! Should you wish, this can be embedded into each of your candidates’ Teacherfolios.
  • Yes you can! This can be a talent pool just for your school or a communal talent pool that can be accessed by other subscribing schools within your network. When setting this up, you can decide on the digital content that you would like to see from the teachers who choose to join your talent pool.
  • All data is stored in the cloud on Amazon Web Services (AWS) under UK law in London.
  • Teacherfolio has been designed with a Privacy-First development methodology meaning that we follow a rigorous development process which places the security of personal information at its core. To that end, we host our application and website using a GDPR compliant cloud data provider hosting the application and site in the UK. All of our services run over HTTPS using TLS ensuring data transmitted between the application/website and our servers is secure. Data provided by schools and candidates is encrypted when it is stored, and in any backups taken. Our GDPR policy can be viewed here.

For teachers:

  • For teachers, Teacherfolio is forever free.
  • If you have been shortlisted by a school who would like you to create a Teacherfolio, simply click the ‘Create my account’ button in the email that you will have received.
    If you are joining a talent pool or applying for a role that requires you to create a Teacherfolio, simply click the link provided in the job/ talent pool advert. You will then be asked to create a username and password.
    If you would like to join TTAP, simply, click ‘Register as a teacher’ from our website.
  • You can log in to your account by heading to our website and clicking the ‘Sign in’ button in the top right of your screen. You can also click this link to go straight to the account sign in page.
  • You will always be notified before your Teacherfolio is forwarded to a school. If a school has requested that you provide digital content as part of a job application, then only this school will be able to view your Teacherfolio. If you are not appointed, they may contact you to see if you would like your Teacherfolio to be added to their talent pool for future consideration or to be considered for a teaching post at another school within their network. You can accept or decline this offer.
  • Teacherfolio allows image, text, PDF or video responses to questions and tasks. The school or talent pool that you are looking to join may request that certain questions are responded to in a particular format, e.g. video or text. Files, such as videos and images, can be uploaded directly from mobile devices.
  • You can save progress as often as you like when uploading content – it doesn’t all need to be uploaded in one go and it doesn’t all need to be uploaded from the same device. Once you have submitted your Teacherfolio, you can view or edit your Teacherfolio by clicking the ‘View’ or ‘Edit’ button from your dashboard.
  • If you would like to join TTAP, simply, click ‘Register as a teacher’ from our website. You will be asked to provide details that will help us to match you with schools and vacancies that are a good-fit for you. You will then be invited to register for your Teacherfolio account where you will create your Teacherfolio.
